What do crystals do for people?
Well, for one thing if you are reading this, thank the quartz crystal. It is a base of our technology, from watches and radios to crystal singing bowls and crystal tools. Throughout history, people have had a love for gems and stones. My experience with quartz started while looking for something to do with my spare time. Next thing you know, it is 20 years later. I have seen and heard and done many things during that time.
Why does someone shed tears when they hold a crystal? Why does someone have a warm feeling come over them? Why does a collector spend hundreds of dollars on a specimen for their display? Is it the beauty or rarity? Or does it go deeper, that some truly do feel the life within the crystal?
Crystals have changed my life, and the life of others. My first encounter with the "New Age" and Sedona was in 1988, as a place to sell the crystals that I found. I have been living here since 1997. I have heard it all. Some of it pretty far out there, some of it right on the money. I will not tell you that the crystals will do anything for you or that you can do things with them. I will tell you that when you honor the crystals, you honor creation.
Natural crystals are a gift from this Planet, and for the lack of a better word, God. Some of us believe, that there is something beyond this physical realm. We long to feel that realm. To be a part of it. When I look at the things that this world gives to us I feel humbled by the miracle that created it all. I feel close to creation. This brings me joy and that is enough. Maybe the gifts we do not ask for or expect, are the ones we need.
I believe, that we spend too much time on concrete and asphalt. We need to contact the Earth more often. Many of us love to go hiking, or have a garden or plants in the house. I take people out collecting, many of them for the first time. They come up with the weight of the world, minds busy, after 15 minutes I turn around and see a five year old kid playing in a sandbox. How does something as simple as finding a crystal do this? Maybe, we need to connect with this source more often.

AT HOME I CALL THEM LEMURIA DIAMONDS
A Gem of the Western continent. These quartz crystals were created in ancient limestone dating back over 400 million years. Payson Diamonds are closely related to Herkimer Diamonds, Chinese Herkimers, and others. But for every 10,000 Herks, there is one Payson Diamond. Crystals from Diamond Point differ from Herkimers. The main physical difference being in the triangular growth patterns seen on the terminations or facets, sometimes called record keepers. Herkimer Diamonds show sharp points and Payson Diamonds show rounded ones.
Born of two ages
The tip was formed 65 million years ago and the stem 100 million years. This joining of two quartz growing periods on this planet, created some of the most exciting crystals I have had the pleasure of finding. Often having phantoms and enhydro's, a true quartz scepter, cannot be made by man. These smokey-amethyst crystals have record keepers like Payson Diamonds.
